KONTAFLON 85 A grease-free PTFE-based lubricant and release agent. The most important elements in kontaflon 85 are polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) particles, which give grease-free lubricating and releasing qualities. Wherever high-grade lubricants are required for work in an oil-free environment, kontaflon 85, the practically invisible wax-like lubricant, sets new standards. Features: + Surfaces sprayed with KONTAFLON 85 have the typical characteristics of PTFE: • Water-repellent • Tack-free • Does not soil or grease • Non-conductive • Resistant to temperatures ranging from 50°C to 260°C • Non-flammable after evaporation of solvent • Resistant to chemicals. + Good adhesion properties due to a small amount of binder. + Optimum alternative to mineral oil wherever clean, colourless, grease-free lubricants and release agents are required.

Cut the Cartridge, insert it into the cartridge gun and fix V-cut nozzle on top. Apply the sealant beads in a zig–zag pattern on one of the substrates with approx.1-inch distance between each sealant bead.It is recommended to keep a gap of 35 mm at all sides of large panels where sealant will be applied to avoid any excess material coming out from the edges and to control any visible gap between the 2 bonded surfaces. Align the surfaces together (as per requirement) as quickly as possible and press firmly for 2-3 minutes. Parts can be re-adjusted up to 6 minutes depending upon the temperature.If the conditions are dry (>35 °C, R.H. < 50 %), it is recommended that the sealant beads be exposed to the atmosphere for 1-2 min before bonding onto other substrate.For putting heavier weights such as glass or stone shelf on wall mounted ‘C’ clamps or brackets, allow the adhesive to cure overnight before putting the shelves in place.Seal the nozzle with help of a tape. If the bottle is to be re-used, ensure it is done within 24-48 hours of opening.
